A collaboration between Pom Pom Press and Viola, Knits About Winter is a collection of 12 knitting patterns about and inspired by the beautiful and wild landscape of winter.

There is so much about this project to share, reveal and discuss that I scarcely know where to begin. For now, you should know about a few crucial dates and events…

  • that Knits About Winter will launch at the New York Sheep and Wool Festival in Rhinebeck, NY in just a few weeks time (October 20 & 21). I will be there, along with the Pom Pom team, at the Merritt Books stand where copies will be available and I’ll be signing them! Come say hello, try on the samples and scoop your copy whilst nibbling one of those apple cider doughnuts everyone talks about.

  • You will be able to touch, sniff and purchase Viola yarn galore at the Indie Untangled Trunk Show on the Friday before Rhinebeck (October 19th from 1-8pm). We’re bringing boxes upon boxes of yarn and featuring four new colourways created especially for Knits About Winter! Brit and I will be there eager to meet you and chat all things winter and yarn.

  • You can place a pre-order today, either here to receive a signed copy from yours truly, or through Pom Pom, here, or a through a number of other lovely, kind and supportive shops worldwide (eternal gratitude and love to all). Copies will be shipped out and available for sale in stores and online as of November (not long now!)
