quite a lot is going into Wednesday's Shop Update!

Reflections - BFL 4 ply

Cygnet - BFL 4 ply

Pollen - BFL 4 ply

Garden Ghost - BFL 4 ply

Phew, this Wednesday's update is almost here! As I have mentioned in previous posts, this will be your last chance to stock up on MCN Worsted, BFL 4 ply and Merino Lace as all of these yarns are being discontinued. They're going out with a bang at 10% off too, so get them while you can!

Wild Rose - Cashmere and Silk

I will also have a limited selection of the extinct Cashmere and Silk base available. We dug out some lost skeins (okay, actually I had hidden them away because I wanted to keep them) for the Open Day last weekend, so it's a very 'Emily' selection of colours that will be available. It was so long ago that you might not remember, but I knit an Ando Cardigan using Cashmere and Silk...

It has been blocked and ready to seam for at least six months (terrible!) and I have decided to part with the rest of this amazing colourway (Dove). It took me about six months to feel able to let go of this yarn because I can honestly say I'd wear more than one sweater in this colour. I'm choosing to share, however, and there is enough yarn for another Ando 😉

Moonlight - MCN Worsted

Lots and lots of garment quantities on MCN Worsted are going to be available as well. Moonlight is hands down my favourite colour from this update. It is subtle, warm and glowing. I think it pairs up with any other colour, and have spent a good chunk of time coming up with colour pairings while I was supposed to be taking yarn photos. I think it's my perfect neutral!

Explosion - MCN Worsted

Sweet Dreams - MCN Worsted

Giant Peach - MCN Worsted (always one of my favourites!)

Did you know that I have a design in the upcoming Issue of Pom Pom Magazine?! Hold onto your hats because Issue #26 is MOON THEMED and it is downright incredible. Pom Pom will be releasing previews on Wednesday (how handy, the same day as the update) and we will also be stocking the shop with the yarn I used in my design...Mohair Lace in Cosmic!

You might have caught the sneak peek that Pom Pom posted last week, which gives you an idea of what the design is about, but you only have to wait until Wednesday to see the whole thing! I am so proud to be contributing to this stunning issue and even more proud of my friends at Pom Pom for their vision and creativity. More news soon!

Wenesday's update will also contain a gorgeous selection of sock yarn and sock minis, for anyone who might like to build up their sock drawer before the cold weather returns. My latest pair of Favourite Socks uses a gorgeous colour dyed by one of my oldest and dearest knitting friends, Naomi. She wanted to recreate the shimmering, golden colours of the Saugeen River that flows past my home and I love what she came up with! There are just a few skeins remaining of this glimmering river colour!

Saugeen dyed on Sock yarn next to my most recent pair of Favourite Socks.

I dyed this Mohair Lace along with Naomi. It's a very similar colour, so we've called them both Saugeen. This summer has been unrelentingly hot and sticky. I've been taking daily swims to help me keep it together. When the sun is shining on the water, these are the colours I can see under the surface. It's magical.

Last, but not least, we are really pleased with these cotton totes! Brit and I have been silkscreening like mad people (I say, it's quite an addictive process). We will have Shimmering Gold and Midnight Blue in stock. Each tote is $18 CAD and 16" tall x 15" wide.
