It's the first cool night that Mooresburg has seen in weeks, and the first thing I thought about was sweaters. Of course! Winter knits feel possible once more (I'm wearing a sweater right now and it's making me so happy!) and I am most certainly planning a Mooresburg DK sweater for the cold winter. Having just finished up a Vaara tee (from the summer issue of Pom Pom, pattern by Sachiko Burgin) I am all about knitting more garments in this yarn! It is rustic and crunchy, yet soft and lustrous at the same time. Colours come out layered, complex and so rich. Best of all, this yarn is grown and spun in Ontario! Can't quite make up my mind about a pattern just yet, but these colours almost didn't make it into tomorrow's update!

I am also pretty darn excited about these MINI SKEINS! It's my old favourite, Sock yarn, in 20g skeins (85 m). I've dyed up lots of fun colours in these cute little skeins, perfect for an additional contrast in socks 😉

These little guys are $7 USD. They are smaller than the mini skeins used in my sock kits (which are 25-30g) so please keep this in mind if you're planning a project. I think they're a great addition to a sock kit...because 3 or more contrasting colours is even more fun!

There's lots more in store for tomorrow, but I'll keep a little bit as a surprise...
