Preview time!
We’re almost ready for a shop update and let me tell you, it’s a BIG ONE! It features Polwarth & Alpaca, Mohair and Mohair Minis. We know that many of you have been patiently waiting to scoop some yarn for a Soireé Sweater or Snowdrift Shawl and now is the time! We’ve also put together Mohair Mini Bundles in 6 especially dreamy colour combinations. These bundles include 5 20g skeins of Mohair Lace for a total of 100g per bundle and cost $112 CAD. They’ll be very handy for anyone planning to knit Stripes of all Stripes: scoop as many as you need/want, choose different colour options or multiples of your favourite and use them to beef up your existing mohair collection. We hope you enjoy our colour choices!

One last piece of news before we get to yarn pics is that we’re also hosting a very special giveaway in honour of the release of Stripes of all Stripes…and our gift is 26 mohair minis!!! That’s one of each of the new colours we’re adding to the shop and it is a literal rainbow of fluff!!

MOHAIR 50g skeins…
You’ll notice a mix of old and new Viola colours here. Some, like Pollen (one of our all time favourite colours!) is a little bit different this time around. And you may be surprised (we know that yellow is a tricky colour for lots of people) to learn that I think it’s just about the perfect neutral - it looks great with nearly all other colours! We really take care with our photos, so please use them as your guide, rather than the colour name. Our colours are never the same twice!

We knit a baby and child version of Stripes of all Stripes using approx 25g for the baby size and 40g for the child size. Plans are in the works for a more involved Mini Stripes pattern, but that’s a rough guide to yarn amounts for you. Here’s a better look at the colour effects we achieved with bundle no. 1 and no. 3

GEORGE!
Not yarn related, but incredibly important news... this little guy, George, entered our lives on Christmas Eve and is the most delightful being! He’s almost 10 months old, a Border Collie/Blue Heeler and a really, really nice guy. I’m sure you’ll be seeing lots more of him as he settles into Viola life. For now, meet George <3
